Position Overview:
This role will report to the Planning Manager, Pacific Retail Fulfillment and Logistics Operations.
The primary responsibility is the planning and fulfillment of product to meet demand at the Apple Retail Stores. Proactively manages and maintains replenishment to stores using systems, reporting tools and measurements. Achieves key inventory metrics, achieving optimal level of inventory in stocks and Turns. Provides highest level of customer service and responsiveness to store requests. Works cross functionally with RFL team and other key internal partners to insure fulfillment of product demand.
This position requires interaction with the stores, both over the phone as well as via e-mail.
The replenishment Specialist will be responsible for the following on a daily basis :-
1.Proactively manages planning and fulfillment of product to meet demand at the Apple Retail Stores and maintains replenishment to stores using the various reporting tools and measurements on a timely basis. Supports store needs and issue resolution through the Product Fulfillment support line. Works cross functionally with other Apple groups to insure fulfillment of product demand. Works closely within RFL team to achieve shared objectives.
2. Manage Order Entry and Data Management activity to ensure fulfillment of product to meet demand at the Apple Retail Stores during store opening or on an ad-hoc basis . Proactively manages and maintains Data Master setup of material in SAP.
Note : Some level of traveling will be expected during the initial period as part of the training. In addition, the job may requires the planner to start work from 7 am to 4 pm instead of the regular 8am to 5 pm and during the holidays to cover other countries in this region.
Job Responsibilities in various key areas :
Inventory Planning /Replenishment
Sets and maintains Sales Forecast and Replenishment parameters by product for multiple retail store.
Insures timely and accurate article/ material set up and status per the assortment database.
Insures status and Fixture fill changes are maintained in a timely manner.
Review and validate Replenishment results.
Manages and maintains Replenishment and Sales Forecast Exceptions on a weekly basis. Adjust forecast parameters by article as needed.
Manages in stock exceptions on a daily basis; reacts as needed to insure product fulfillment to storefront. Researches and expedites orders when appropriate.
Manages optimal inventory levels (using appropriate tools available) at all times to meet companys inventory goal and key metrics.
Manages product transitions. ie. EOL and New product intro
Ensures physical inventory levels are kept within targeted parameters of target days of supply, achieving goal of target inventory turns.
Proactively utilize reporting measurements, analysis, and exception reporting to optimize product fulfillment. (i.e excess report, Retail In-Stock reports, Weekly Inventory reporting)
Attend assortment meeting (as needed) to understand 3rd party product plan and execute product transition in this space accurately
Work closely with merchants to understand store promotion / initiatives needs to bring the right level of inventory to insure success of the program
Work with Supply Demand Team, Product Life Cycle and merchants to support returns of EOL products from store
Work closely with Supply Demand team on store requirements or upside to to insure supply at hub for Retail
Creates inventory model for new Retail store launch as needed
Provides timely forecast to Supply Demand Team on a weekly basis to support procurement of supply to hub
Product Fulfillment Support Line
Provides phone support to stores for issue resolution (i.e. replenishment issues, shipment issues, debit/credits, return authorization, consumables, and product movement).
Provides staffing coverage and on-call availability as needed for the Product Fulfillment Support Line.
Order Management / Data Management Support
Order Entry Support.
Perform manual order entry for all exception and expedite orders on a daily basis with the appropriate shipping condition and storage location. Communicates with the logistic carrier to insure timely deliveries are created for shipment.
Completes order to delivery for all store Packaging requests.
Data Management
Executes data entry and maintenance of all Retail Replenishment and Forecast Article Master settings to insure highest level of data accuracy (i.e store Logistics view). Executes CATT scripts upload of data into Article Master when needed.
Conducts weekly comparison and upload of all Fixture Fill value changes into Article Master per the Assortment Database to insure accuracy between systems.
Conducts weekly audit of all part status (Current vs. Discontinued) and fixture fill value to insure accuracy. Complete any required updates to insure accuracy.
Order Management Support
Tracks and monitors all Open Order
Proactively manages and maintains Open Order reporting in SAP Core and Retail.
Insures open orders are current within guidelines (shipping within 48 hours, less than 2 week aging on backlog); provides status report on exceptions. Proactively seeks resolution and status of all backlog over 48 hours.
Produces and distributes backlog report 3X per week (M/W/F)
Perform cancellations where required as part of the product transition.
Ensures any open order delivery blocks are cleared same day.
Ensure appropriate shipping condition maintained.
Ensures accuracy between core and retail open order reporting; conduct regular audits of both.
Perform product category analysis to derive attach rate, quarterly trend analysis and forecast assumptions.
Track forecast accuracy
Store Support
Provides phone support to stores for issue resolution (i.e. replenishment issues, shipment issues, space management issues, and product movement).
Provides staffing coverage and on-call availability as needed for the Product Fulfillment Support Line.
Completes timely response to inbound Store Email product requests; completes appropriate research into product replenishment issues.
Misc.
Works cross functionally with other support groups (i.e OEM, Product Admin, Supply Demand Planning) as needed.
Works in collaboration within RFL team as needed
Support new country or new project testing as needed
Contributes to continuous process improvement.
Adheres to all established policies and procedures
Ensures in-stock to Retail stores are kept at >99%
Keep excess inventory at < 3% of total sellable inventory
Work with Merchants / Product Life cycle manager (PLM) to review non-productive inventory regularly to drive it down to the lowest possible
REQUIREMENTS
1.Fluent in English (written and spoken). 2 out of the 3 planners need to have Japanese speaking skills.

4.Operations planning, Order management, forecasting and replenishment experience. Prior experience of 3-6 years preferred.
