Job description Responsible for developing and implementing standards for all aspects of product quality during development & Mass Production, working with cross-functional teams in Cupertino and Asia as well as with suppliers to ensure high quality product.
Key activities will include but not limited to;
Evaluate prospective suppliers wrt production capability & quality processes and participate in approval/disapproval decision.
Provide direction and training to facilitate suppliers, developing quality programs to ensure highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered on time at the optimum cost.
Work with suppliers (including training) involved in setting up process controls, data collection, failure analysis, corrective action and reporting (in every phase of manufacturing) for early detection and correction, continual improvement.
Evaluate suppliers processes and process controls to ensure product quality and reliability is built-into the product.
Interface with suppliers & regional SQE team in resolving complex manufacturing process, quality and reliability issues, utilizing DOE and statistical approach. Provide technical and systems support related to both quality systems and technical product related issues
Work with cross-functional teams developing new products ensuring completeness of specifications & product performance requirements.
Develop robust processes for FA on customer returns in order to Synthesize Voice of Customer into both process changes and product development cycles working with R&D & regional SQE teams to impact current and future products.
Publish reports on supplier performance based on production line statistics, system level data in the factory & field and plans on addressing any issues.

Normally requires EE/ IE (or equivalent electrical & quality background) with 2 years of related experience dealing with ODD commodities
Understanding of quality and reliability systems and statistics
Medium to advanced level expertise working with Excel highly desirable
Excellent communication, presentation & analytical skills
Be able to work in a high paced environment
Experience with Asian suppliers preferred.
