Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, Latin America and the Caribbean (ALAC) Supply and Demand Product Manager.
The ALAC Operations Supply Demand Product Manager will own the product availability and revenue plan attainment for the iPod line in that region. This person will act as focal point in development, communication, and execution of product supply and contingency plans, to meet the regions overall financial goals. World class Operations excellence is a cornerstone of Apple's success, and the Operations Supply Demand Product Manager plays a critical role in ensuring Operations and financial success for Apple.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Analyze forecasted demand, inventory, and channel and direct sell through, to develop weekly and quarterly supply plans for the ALAC region that meet Apples financial plan. Evaluate risks, plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate.
2) Analyze product order bookings, backlog, and billings for the ALAC region on a daily basis. Identify problem areas, and drive appropriate functional groups to correct.
3) Improve product allocation processes. Identify improvement opportunities, marshal resources, and drive projects to completion, to achieve targeted measurable benefits.
4) Coordinate closely with the ALAC regional sales managers to ensure supply plans meet each countrys sales requirements. Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to manage supply and demand through the entire life cycle of the iPod product families.
5) Partner with the AMR and WW SDM teams to allocate constrained components, ensure inventory targets are met and minimize material obsolescence during product transitions.
6) Present product status updates on a weekly basis to Operations executive management team.
The successful candidate will have 3 - 5 years Operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry. The candidate should be fluent writing and speaking Spanish and must be comfortable working with teams in all countries in the ALAC region. Prior experience in product planning, production control, inventory management, or production / manufacturing operations is preferred. The candidate must combine a working knowledge of world class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy. The candidate must be able to exert tactful influence in a matrixed organization - must be a strong team player and communicator. Candidate should be comfortable presenting to executive management. Additional requirements include the ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, have a persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with numbers. Ability to speak and write Portuguese is a plus.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS Required. MBA Desirable.
