As a Technical Sales Representative within our Chemical Distribution business, you will support sales growth by focusing on the technical side of our customer base. This includes:
- Proactively calling and developing relationships with the technical side of our customer and prospect base primarily over the phone
- Leading management and coordination sample tracking and follow up
- Creating sales tools to increase our Sales Representatives knowledge and effectiveness in selling the key specialty products
- Coordinating between supplier's technical support resources and Sales Reps to:
>>> Take advantage of those resources and apply them to Ashland's growth efforts
>>> Improve technical knowledge of TSS and Seller groups

This position will be based in Dublin, OH
This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.
Qualifications:
BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering is preferred, but other science degree with heavy emphasis on organic chemistry may be acceptable
Sales experience, telemarketing sales, customer support experience and/or have formulated commercial products in the coatings, adhesives, cleaners, or other industrial products.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently
Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required. SAP preferred
Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
