Part Time, Entry Level Contract Administrator Job in Huntsville, AL 35808

BAE Systems is currently seeking aPart Time, Entry LevelContract Administrator for our Huntsville, AL facility.

PART TIME POSITION (Minimum 20 hours per week)
Successful candidate will:
* Administer basic contracts or assist in administering moderately complex contracts.
* Review performance in contracts to assure compliance with terms of contracts.
* Negotiate with customer to resolve simple problems of contractual obligations and what actions should be taken to assure compliance.
* Evaluate contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions.
* Prepare and analyze simple price proposals, financial reports and other data to determine reasonableness of prices, solicitations, terms and conditions.
* Prepare cost proposals for changes, extensions, renewed options, and similar features on existing contracts.
* Monitor cost control of contracts.
* Examine estimates of material, equipment and production cost, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Monitor program deliverables.
* Prepare and maintain cost projections and schedules of deliverables.
* Review and evaluate purchase requisitions.
* May prepare export license applications for hardware and technical data being sent overseas.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required:
* High School Diploma.
* Related college coursework.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong MS Office skills (Especially Word and Excel).
* Eligibility for Department of Defense security clearance.
* A teachable spirit and an attitude of service towards customers and colleagues.
* Effective problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
* Ability to be self directed requiring little supervision.
* Ability to interact with various disciplines within the organization.
* Ability to maintain orderly contract documentation.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred:
* Completion of two years of college in business related field.
* Coursework completed in Acquisition Management and/or certificate in federal contract management.
* At least 3.0 GPA
