Be part of the future! We are staffing a major multi-site O&S maintenance and engineering program. These opportunities are available in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with web application systems/portals/technologies and will be responsible for the design/development, integration, testing, operation, and maintenance, of web-based applications. Daily tasks include, but not limited to, web application design/development/integration/test, reviewing and updating web content, troubleshooting web application problems and issues, supporting database and application developers, performing system backups, reviewing system logs, and providing customer user support. Candidate will support the development/maintenance of system related documentation. Candidate will assist the more senior web engineers by providing guidance to a small team of junior web application programmers.
After-hour or weekend work may be required to support operational/integration testing needs.
Required
Working experience in one or more of the following servers/workstations: Sun, HP, Dell, SGI
-Working experience in one or more of the following OSs: UNIX, Windows, Linux
-Working experience in developing/maintaining Web applications using languages, such as, but not limited to: C++, Visual Basic, JAVA, XTML, J2EE, etc.
-Working experience with one or more of the following DBMS: Oracle, Sybase, My SQL, etc.
-Working experience with developing/maintaining scripting.
11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD
Familiarity with web application systems and portal technology.
-Must be able to demonstrate high degree of accuracy and attentiveness to detail with little rework.
-Must have excellent customer service skills, particularly in the area of customer relations, communications and responsiveness.
-Must be able to work as a team member and as well as provide guidance to the more junior programmers.
-Must be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of writing ability to assist with development/maintenance of procedures and documentation
-Must be willing and able to learn.
