We are currently supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in a variety of endeavors of national importance including aviation safety.
BAE Systems is looking for a candidate who will quantitatively assess programs and projects and make sensible business recommendations for FAA capital investments.
This will include:
1. Developing, evaluating, and assuring the quality of cost estimates, including ad-hoc special studies, in support of investment decisions within the FAA.
2. Conducting analyses that involve complex technical parameters, acquisition and logistics requirements, schedule constraints, accounting, procurement and business principles, and similar cost-influencing factors
3. Guiding inter-disciplinary teams in the design, development, and application of cost analysis tools to determine the economic impact of proposed changes
4. Occasionally participating in database development, cost estimating process improvement and Cost Estimating Standards and Guidance development
5. Preparing formal documentation and presenting plans, results, and recommendations to team leads, management and others verbally and in writing.
Must have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in economics, business, accounting, finance, or related discipline and twelve (12) years experience in financial analysis including cost analysis OR a related Masters degree and at least eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of one (1) year of financial spreadsheet analysis experience using complex Microsoft Excel functions.
- A minimum of one (1) year of Cost Estimation experience.
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
Preferences:
- Capital investment planning and analysis experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of acquisition lifecycle management processes and practices.
- Excellent quantitative skills and solid statistics experience.
- Experience with cost estimation tools such as SEER SEM, ACEIT, or @RISK.
- FAA and aviation industry or DoD experience.
- Excellent quantitative skills and solid statistics experience.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with Crystal Ball.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Software Development.
- Experience in Operations Research.
- SCEA certification obtained
