Be part of the future! We are staffing a major multi-site O&S maintenance and engineering program. These opportunities are available in CONUS and OCONUS locations. The ideal candidate directs teams to implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers. Supervises Lead and Associate Database Administrators.
Required
MS and SUN systems and CISCO and other network hardware systems.
DBMS Systems experience in one of the following systems: Ingres, Object Store, OMNI SQL Gateway Software (SUN), Oracle (7, 8i, 9, 10g), Oracle Enterprise Server/Apps Server/WebDB/etc; Powerbuilder; Sybase (Digital UNIX, SGI, Alpha, Solaris)
18+ Years with HS or 14+ Years with AA or 12+ Years with BS or 10+ Years with MS or 7+ Years with PhD
Understanding and experience with database systems administration. Supervision Skills.
Must be able to demonstrate high degree of accuracy and attentiveness to detail with little rework.
Must have excellent customer service skills, particularly in the area of customer relations, communications and responsiveness.
Must be able to work as a team member in support of projects
Must be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of writing ability to assist with development of procedures and documentation
Must be willing and able to learn
