The Lead Programmer Analyst position contributes to IS functions as well as to the internal customers who depend on guidance and consulting on technologies and systems. The position is located in York, PA supporting the Land & Armaments operating group, Ground Systems line of business. The successful candidate will be responsible for applications planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance for the full range of the software development lifecycle. This position will be responsible for working with the customer to define requirements, analyze business and technical processes in order to design application functionality that will be accessible by internal customers from various facilities across the United States. The candidate must be a self-starter and work well with others and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
The candidate must have the capability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new technologies and environments.
Required
-SQL and PL/SQL
-Data Warehouse Concepts
-Knowledge of Ad-hoc Reporting Tools (Discoverer, Business Objects, etc.)
11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD
-Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new technologies
-Excellent oracle and written communication skills
-Can work independently or under general supervision producing consistently exceptional work
-Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
-Ability to listen, understand, interpret and document end-customer requirements.
-Ability to create functional and technical specs and end-user documentation
