Job Responsibility:The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for contract administration functions, which will include: customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications. The Contract Administrator must have a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with public law, FAR, DFAR and Prime Contact Flow-Downs. Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to resolve disagreements, reach agreements and clarify issues/processes. Innovativeness is required to improve work steps/work procedures which may result in some time and cost savings.
Essential Duties:
Review Terms and Conditions proposed by Customers and Vendors to determine areas of risk and ensure compliance with corporate policies and recommend appropriate changes within prescribed corporate guidelines;
Review contract amendments for completeness and accuracy;
Assist in the development of standard contracts department policies and procedures;
Maintain contracts database of relevant information used by L-3 ASIT management;
Organize and maintain contract files in accordance with corporate policies and procedures;
Prepare letters of transmittal and other contractual letters and documents as required to support the Contracts Department;
Prepare and issue Customer Sales Orders upon receipt of contracts and modifications;
Support proposal pricing efforts by establishing and maintaining proposal files to include estimates for materials and services that are a part of the pricing estimate
Job Requirements:Four year college degree required
3 to 5 years of experience in Contract Administration
Minimum Secret clearance.
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Possess analytical and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Working knowledge/background in the purchasing function in addition to contracts is preferred
