Job Description:
*Pending C-17 Training System Sustainment program award*
* Sets up and maintains site tracking file of actions and reports. * Aids in staff support by gathering, assembling and collating data and prepares operating reports. * Records logistics purchasing data in one computerized database system and transfers the appropriate data to a second database system. * Reviews and organizes materials requiring management/staff review or approval to ensure accuracy and conformance with Link Simulation &Training standards. * Provides necessary follow-up with staff to ensure materials are prepared correctly and on time. * Responsible for maintaining files and documents supporting assigned staff. * Under general direction, prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, etc. * Arranges travel and processes expense reports. Communication and Miscellaneous Duties: * Confers with Site Manager as to whether management should be notified of important or emergency matters. * Provides on-site support for various HR actions. * Determines priorities and responds to deadlines that may be short. * Uses considerable tact, discretion, and independent judgment to analyze and interpret the meaning of reported information, and to communicate findings. * Manages incoming telephone calls to Site Manager office. Maintains telephone message log during Site Manager absence. Associates Degree or equivalent is desired. Requires ability to work with minimal supervision. Assignments may be broad in nature, with specific instructions generally required only on special projects. Strong working knowledge of standard computerized office products such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Access. Possess ability to rapidly learn custom computer based programs. Assists in the design, development, and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and programs. Recommends improvements in systems, procedures, or workflow. Support of School House/Institutional Training and Instruction activities desired. For developmental purposes, may be assigned to work normally associated with higher graded positions. Obtain or be eligible to obtain a DOD secret security clearance.
