Description:
The Instructor will be a member of the New Equipment Training Team for the Project Manager-Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE). The Instructor will work directly for the assigned Government New Equipment Training Chief, military or civilian. The principal duty of the Instructor is to train and certify Parachute Riggers (military personnel) to conduct parachute packing operations for the Advance Tactical Parachute System (ATPS) (MC-6/T-11) in accordance with current U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, VA and Product Manager-Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-SCIE) guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Be physically able to perform duties as an Army parachute Rigger and Jumpmaster; formally trained and properly certified by the USA Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, VA and able to present documented proof; must have held a 92D, 921A, or 92R series AOC/MOS for a minimum of 2 years; must have been an Instructor at the USA Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, VA for a minimum of 24 months; must not have been relieved of duties or have had their parachute duty status terminated for alcohol or any substance abuse reason; must be a graduate of a Department of the Army Training and Doctrine Command sponsored Instructor Qualification Course within the last 5 years; must be able to travel worldwide to conduct training.
Applicants selected for this position will require background screening and the ability to maintain a security clearance. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.
