Overview:
Conceptualize, sketch designs and execute product for the Liz Claiborne jewelry brand at JCPenney

Responsibilities:
Present concepts/trends directly to Design Director
Design and develop original product ideas from sketches to technical drawings
Have a keen eye to select materials and colors for all product
Review and technically correct all product from 1st prototypes to final approved samples for showroom set up
Posses knowledge of the costume jewelry industry, and be able to identify and design fresh and exciting product that accurately fits the brand aesthetic and target price points
Ability to manipulate and mock-up samples
All designs need to focus on the Liz Claiborne consumer
Assist teams with showroom setup
Knowledge and understanding of how jewelry is made
Must have technical knowledge of all metals, materials, and components in order to have clear, detailed, and understandable technical designs
Clean technicals are a must- including connections, closures, measurements, and different views (top, side, views)
Create well thought out presentation boards using product, magazine tears, and paper
Color rendering (pencil, markers)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience at a designer level
Must be able to sketch and design
Must have excellent written and communication skills
Must be able to present concepts to Merchandising, Product Development and Sales teams
Computer skills a plus, but not required
