Position Description
Under the supervision of the Clinical Unit Supervisor, provides substance abuse treatment services, and implements the treatment curriculum. Responsible for the administration of all activities involved in establishing a total therapeutic community environment within the clinical unit. Full-time, Evenings/Weekends required.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for developing a thorough understanding of funding agency regulations and for ensuring ongoing compliance with all regulations.
Manages a caseload, delivering all treatment components to assigned clients. Responsible for thorough documentation of all treatment components.
Develops and revises Individual Treatment plans in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team, assesses client progress, participates in case conferences to assess client progress, where needed; makes recommendation for changes in treatment planning and advancement to the next treatment level.
Provides individual and group counseling, assigns job functions, facilitates peer support groups, delivers workshops and seminars (developing new topics, as needed in consultation with the clinical unit supervisor), provides and supervises recreational programming, etc.
Supervision and participation in all necessary group encounters, seminars and morning meetings
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be CASAC-T credentialed.
Adolescent treatment experience a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Knowledge of therapeutic community preferred; must be familiar with treatment planning, relapse prevention techniques, and aftercare/transition planning issues.reply to phyorktowncareers@phoenixhouse.org
