The Technical Business Architect will report to the Director of Technical Architecture and will be responsible for working with application, program, development, and business teams to identify existing or new services that will meet enterprise requirements. The Technical Business Architect will define service interfaces, specifications and test scenarios for each service that will provide common enterprise functions for key business domains. Consult with application teams to support implementation of enterprise services according to specification. Maintain consistency of service elements and concepts with enterprise models. The Technical Business Architect must have experience creating technical business process models for existing legacy application and recommending/streamlining the improvement of these models to eliminate inefficiency and antiquated processes. The successful candidate will leverage extensive process modeling experience to define and articulate detailed business process definitions and components of the various Ingenix businesses and applications. Candidate will work closely with key business and application stakeholders to collaborate and facilitate innovative strategies to maximize application, technical and business architecture. The candidate will utilize existing modeling tools as well as recommend the implementation of new model tools that meet the unique requirements of the Ingenix business and technical environments. The Candidate must be able form effective working relationships and will work closely with both the technical and business resources to define roles, costs, and other model attributes. The candidate must have experience designing and implementing ASP/BPO business architecture including chargeback methodologies. Specific position requirements are;
* Demonstrated experience using and creating Data or Object models
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation
* Understanding and experience in Healthcare Payor/provider business processes and concepts strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Integration concepts and practices
* Ability to demonstrate leadership, collaboration and independence in a virtual team environment
* Provide high-level leadership and expertise in process and event-driven design of applications on large-scale projects mainly focused on the replatform of legacy applications.
* Lead analysis of the business/application architecture of multiple legacy application documenting the current state and future state architectures* Create and instruct team members in the work and quality standards for business process design and development to insure a quality process and product.
* Define detailed business components and detailed business object definitions necessary to articulate complete business process definitions.
* Provide collaboration and facilitation to elicit innovative concepts and ideas from the business community.
* Continually assess team progress, anticipate obstacles and take steps to avoid project problems and delays.
* Participate in vendor and product evaluations.
* Ability to work closely with both Technical and Functional to translate and articulate key functionality of process modeling solutions to key business stakeholders.
* Experience working closely with business stakeholders to transform current process thinking to closely coupled service oriented business process thinking.
* Experience providing detailed assessment and analysis of large enterprise systems.
* Experience with evaluating and proposing new business models.
* Strong understanding of fundamental IT and Program Governance Concepts.
* Comfortable working and adapting to a dynamic and complex environment
* Ability to work closely with Application Development and Support Teams ensuring that the future common model is understood and realized in new and existing projects and improving the SDLC process.
* Participate in requirements definition, analysis and design activities mentoring teams on use case driven analysis and design techniques and SOA principles as well as providing senior level facilitation skills
* Manage the enterprise models in Enterprise Architect modeling tool
* Define and evolve software development lifecycle processes including defining Lifecycle Phases, Milestones, Activities, Artifacts, Roles, and Responsibilities
* Provide guidance on applying SDLC process on service orientated architecture (SOA) projects
* Define key SDLC metrics that will be captured for each project and define a consistent approach to using these metrics to drive process improvement initiatives
* Participate in defining SDLC decision matrix that specifies which activities, artifacts, roles, and responsibilities are required based on project size
*Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team ensuring a seamless and consistent enterprise software development process

4 or more years in IT Business Architecture with 3 or more years in high-level problem solving and application development, and technical design experience and demonstrated experience in working with ASP/BPO architecture as well as documenting legacy applications. Wide range and in depth experience and understanding of application analysis, design, implementation and support focused on stabilizing and improving performance and reliability.
- Relevant Bachelors Degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proficient problem solving and fact finding skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to define the complete technical business architecture environment
- Ability to provide technical leadership on project engagement, including serving as a resource to the project team and the client by evaluating and proposing technical alternatives for resolving business and technology issues
- Ability to create architecture scope, definition, construction, and execution
- Ability to design and develop cost effective solutions that meet functional, technical, and performance requirements
- Experience lead process improvement initiatives for all phases of the software development lifecycle
-Ability to motivate and influence team members while leading organizational and/or cultural change
- Create service-based architectures promoting shared services and common components. Drive this vision and work with the product lines to identify, implement and promote shared services and common components.
- Promote the use of the SDLC on all project engagements.
- Big Four Consulting or other leading professional service experience.
