Under the guidance/supervision of management or senior project managers, the Associate Project Manager will provide expertise in managing small and medium projects to successful completion and may provide task management follow-up for submitted service requests. These projects may be contained within a single unit or span multiple business units. Projects managed are typically 1-3 months in length and involve individual technologies, vendors or functions with a modest impact to the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
•Bachelor's degree.
•One year demonstrated project management or project lead experience in a technical, customer, or other professional field.
•Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and motivate a team.
•Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization, use listening skills to facilitate employee interactions and resolve issues in a professional manner.
•Ability to follow ITaP business practices and understand the impact that the project work will have on the organization.
Preferred:
•Degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Business, or related field.
•Experience in at least one of the following areas: ITIL, web, security, network, database, UNIX, Windows or application development.
•Project Management principles, practices and concepts (PMBOK) understanding.
•Project Management certification.
