Job Description
The Louis Berger Group, Inc. offers professional services in the areas of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering; program management; planning; environmental sciences; cultural resources; information services; economics; policy and management analysis; and construction management and support.
1. Act as the primary facilities POC for a set of client customers
· Submit requests for appropriate databases on behalf of customer requirements and maintain project status in MAXIMO
· Assist customers with developing requirements and costing out options for their senior decision makers
· Oversee the execution of design and construction contracts on behalf of the customer to include, but not limited to, writing the SOW and contract acquisition documents, running project management meetings with all customers and service providers, reporting progress to the customer, COTR and other stakeholders, maintaining the balance of cost, schedule, scope and closing out the project per technical guidelines
· Conduct site visits and meetings as necessary to include overseas trips
2. Act as the subject matter expert for programs as assigned
· Provide guidance for the development of overarching policy governing the area of expertise. Example – power generation and distribution, water and waste water management
· Provide consulting and advice to other project managers whose projects touch on this area of expertise
3. Specific skills
· Project manager with experience in multi-million dollar construction efforts
· Emphasis on strong total project management skills such as the balance between cost, schedule, and scope
· Strong written communication skills – ability to clearly transmit technical issues to non-technical customers
· Electrical engineer or electrical background is desirable
· Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced office that routinely deals with short suspense and deadlines for construction completion (less than one year)
Education:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equalivalent years of field experience (7 yrs). OR B.S degree in an engineering/construction related field.
Minimum five years experience managing projects (particular experience managing multi-million dollar efforts).
Extensive knowledge of drawings, AUTO CAD, and construction specifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Project software
Knowledge of cost estimation
TS/SCI clearance required
